Eleven members of the Speed and Hazel Yearout clan (the First Generation of cabin owners) pooled their meager inheritance money and purchased our family log cabin in 1962. Dubbed by our aunt Jo, Legacy Lodge, the intent was to create a place where Yearouts could gather for generations to come. The dream has stayed alive for over 60 years and counting with third and fourth generation family members now in control of this treasured heirloom.
